This quaint little cafe tucked away behind the McDonalds at Aundh, reminded us of one of those small cafes that you read about in books, where a love story first feels its spark. Decorated with whacky soft cushioned toys and wooden furniture, the place feels very homely. There is both indoor and outdoor seating, and the cafe can seat a maximum capacity of around 30 people. There isn’t a huge variety on the menu, but whatever is available is worth the time we spend there.
This place is a book lover’s paradise; there might not be a lot many mainstream books, but if you like to read, you can come here, and sit by yourself and never want to leave.
The service was really good and it made us feel very comfortable and at home. We ordered a cheese toast that came with a drizzle of chocolate sauce on it. It was a different sort of sandwich but very flavoursome. We ordered mint chocolate and a latte as well. We were provided with free homemade biscuits along with our coffee. Although, the coffee was not something to write home about, the presentation of it all truly was!
Visit Cafe Ssong! We might just see you there, there are quite a few books that we haven’t read yet, and a few things on the menu, we want to try out!
